El pasado 12 de Mayo, Grupo Vía organizó una visita profesional para arquitectos a las nuevas bodegas Protos de Richard Rogers + Alonso, Balaguer, en la que tuvo lugar una cata de vinos.

On May 12th, Via Group organized a proffesional tour to the new Protos Warehouse designed by the architects Richard Rogers + Alonso, Balaguer, in which there was a wine tasting.

Rubio&Álvarez-Sala, ganadores de un concurso de viviendas promovido por Valenor Rubio&Álvarez-Sala, wins a competition for a residential complex promoted by Valenor

Rubio & Álvarez-Sala resulta ganador de un concurso de Viviendas de lujo frente al Parque de Valdebebas, promovido por Valenor. Este concurso restringido organizado por Valenor,  pretende construir y promover un proyecto residencial en la Parcela 127 del Parque de Valdebebas. En el concurso participaron los estudios: Paredes-Pedrosa, Matos&Castillo, Maiz+Herrada, Aranguren-Gallegos, CGR (Caveda, Granero y Romojaro) y Rubio & Álvarez-Sala. El principal objetivo que persigue la propuesta ganadora es que todas las viviendas, no la mayoría, todas, disfruten de los beneficios de pertenecer a una parcela privilegiada situada, en primera línea, frente al parque.
Para ello la edificabilidad se dispone en dos bandas paralelas a lo largo de los dos lados mayores del rectángulo que define la parcela. En el lado del parque, en forma de tres torres de treinta metros de fondo y la máxima altura  posible, (trece plantas). Y en el lado del paseo en banda continua, un bloque lineal de trece metros de fondo y menor altura (ocho plantas). Las torres se separan entre sí lo suficiente para que las viviendas del bloque puedan tener vistas, al parque, a través de ellas desde sus zonas de estar y terrazas.

Rubio&Alvarez-Sala is the winner of a complex of luxury dwellings in front of Valdebebas Park promoted by Valenor. This restricted competition organized by Valenor aims to build and promote a residential project on Parcel 127 of Valdebebas Park. The studios who participated in the competition were: Paredes Pedrosa, Matos & Castillo, Maiz + Herrada, Aranguren-Gallegos, CGR (Caveda, Granero and Romojaro) and Rubio-Álvarez-Sala.
The main objective of the winning proposal is that all homes, not most of all, enjoy the benefits of belonging to a privileged parcel located on the front line, facing the park.
The buildability is configured in two parallel strips along both sides of the rectangle that defines the plot. On the side of the park, the shape of three towers thirty meters deep and high as possible, (thirteen levels). And on the other side, a linear block of thirteen meters deep and less height (eight levels). The towers are separated from each other enough so that the housing block may have views to the park, through them from their living areas and terraces.

El Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid ha publicado el libro 100% Arquitectura II que recoje una selección, realizada por concurso, de los mejores trabajos de 100 estudios de arquitectura madrileños. Del estudio Rubio & Álvarez-Sala se han publicado los laboratorios tecnológicos de INDRA en Torrejón de Ardoz.

The Official College of Architects of Madrid has published the book 100% Architecture II that collects a selection by competition, of the 100 best works of architecture studios in Madrid. Rubio & Álvarez-Sala have been selected for the book with  the building  of INDRA Labs in Torrejón de Ardoz.

El pasado Viernes 20 de Mayo, el arquitecto Carlos Rubio Carvajal acompañó a unos alumnos de la universidad de Cagliari a la rivera del Río Manzanares y les explicó el proyecto recientemente finalizado e inagurado al público.

On Friday 20th of May , the architect Carlos Rubio Carvajal went to the Manzanares river with some students from the University of Cagliari in order to explain them the recently completed project, also recently inaugurated to the public.

Los cirujanos del nuevo Madrid Surgeons at the New Madrid

Cuatro equipos de arquitectos que se asociaron para desarrollar conjuntamente el proyecto son los «padres» del diseño de Madrid Río: Burgos&Garrido, —Ginés Garrido, y Francisco Burgos—, Porras&La Casta —Fernando de Porras-Isla y Aránzazu La Casta—, Rubio&Álvarez —Carlos Rubio y Enrique Álvarez-Sala—, y los paisajistas holandeses West-8. Hablan de él con entusiasmo, conscientes de haber hecho algo único e irrepetible.

Four teams of architects who have partnered to jointly develop the project are the "parents" of the design of Madrid River: Burgos & Garrido, "Ginés Garrido, and Francisco Burgos, Porras & La Casta-Fernando de Porras-Isla and Aránzazu La Casta-Rubio & Álvarez - Carlos Rubio and Enrique Alvarez-Sala-and West-8 Dutch landscape. They talk about the project with great enthusiasm, conscious of having done something unique.

Clase especial con alumnos de Ulster Special class with Ulster students

Ayer día 9 de Marzo unos alumnos de postgrado de la Universidad de Ulster (Belfast, Irlanda) visitaron el estudio Rubio & Álvarez-Sala. Se les impartió una clase especial sobre edificios de oficinas como Indra o la Torre Sacyr-Vallehermoso y también se les explicó el proyecto de Madrid Río, como parte de las actividades del Master en planificación y desarrollo urbano, acreditado por Rics, que dirigen Alona Martínez-Pérez, Heather Ritchie y Gavan Rafferty.

Yesterday, 9th of March, students from the University of Ulster (Belfast, Ireland) visited the studio Rubio & Álvarez-Sala. The students had a special class about office buildings as the Sacyr-Vallehermoso Tower and Indra offices, and also the Madrid Rio Project, as part of the activities of the Integrated Master’s (Msci) of Planning + Property development, accredited by Rics, who run Alona Martinez-Perez, Heather Ritchie and Gavan Rafferty.
